Remarks & Notes
THE BLUE HOUR. A freshly-painted CP GP38-2 (of Lehigh Valley and Delaware and Hudson heritage) sits parked at Eagle Bridge, New York, at 5:11 p.m. on a frigid January night. The unit was parked just a few feet from the Eagle Bridge Road crossing in the small, newly-rebuilt interchange yard, allowing for this view taken from the road. CP continues to occasionally serve the Batten Kill Railroad in Eagle Bridge via trackage rights on Pan Am Southern. The interchange trains, normally symboled D44, have lately been running as extras under symbol D43X.
