Winter in the Whites: New Hampshire's White Mountains were living up to their name on Dec. 26, 2013, as Conway Scenic Railroad GP9 No. 1751 lead the Valley Train into Barlett Station on its run from North Conway. Rumor has it the 1751, which came from the Finger Lakes Railroad in 2012, will be repainted in the coming years.
Beautiful mountain scenery has made this small state a draw for rail buffs to ride the Mount Washington Cog Railway and the Conway Scenic, among others.
