| It is obvious in this photo which tracks are used primarily for high-speed running vs. slower-speed commuter trains. There is also little doubt that this Acela consist is moving at a relatively high speed (there is a 110mph speed restriction just east of this location). I am assuming that this is train 2253, although that would make it approximately 1 hour late as it heads directly into the setting sun. This is not surprising given the snow and extremely cold temperatures across the northeast. |
