Miles away from civilization in the Trough of the South Branch of the Potomac River, B&O painted F7(A) No. 722 is illuminated by moonlight as it poses alongside the South Branch of the Ptomac River after operating a passenger extra earlier in the evening. The summertime humidity has allowed for a thick river fog to develop which will soon result in little to no visibility on the return trip north to Romney. This particular section of the SBVRR represents some of the most secluded and photogenic trackage in all of West Virginia. A true example of Appalachian railroading, in the form of first generation diesel!
