Numerous family/railfan vacations over the years allowed me a lot of time to photo the CNW in the Black Hills area. The Western Division GP35's with their roof mounted air tanks and big fuel tanks were seldom if ever seen in the areas of the CNW I normally frequented so getting them in action was always a big thing to me. This early morning westbound is leaving Rapid City with 848,847,6614,4506,4305 and 4562 leading 74 cars.
