Remarks & Notes

Burlington Northern train 144 crosses one of the truss bridges over the Sinsinawa River west of Portage, Illinois, on the morning of June 5, 1993. This location is on the BN main line along the Mississippi River between Savanna and East Dubuque. Lead locomotive No. 7301 is a former Missouri Pacific SD40 that was reconditioned by Morrison-Knudsen for GATX, labeled a SD40G and leased to BN.
