The 2800 class steam locos were designed by G.J.Churchward for the Great Western Railway,specifically for heavy freight work.2807 entered service in 1905,and worked until being withdrawn in March 1963.She was rescued from Barry scrapyard in 1981,and underwent a 29 year restoration,entering service again in 2010.The loco is seen here exiting Greet Tunnel with a Cheltenham to Laverton service,during a spell of wonderful Winter sunshine.
