A westbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe steel coil train ascends the Rocky Mountains just west of Clay, Colorado, on May 15, 1998. The heavy train is pulled by four EMD SD40-2s with an added GP38X kicker last unit. Pushing hard on the rear is a pair of SD60Ms, just visible around the curve directly above the first car of the train. An all green consist except for the Santa Fe SD40-2…
