Remarks & Notes
TU4 is a narrow gauge (750 mm) diesel locomotive, which was designed in 1962 by "Kambarka Engineering Works" in USSR. 3210 TU4 locomotives were produced until 1974. The locomotives were used on many narrow gauge railways to move cargo as well as passenger trains. Pereslavl-Zalessky Museum is a private museum, frequently called “the museum of engineering” or “the narrow-gauge railway museum,” is in the village of Talitsy, about 15 km from Pereslavl-Zalessky city. It was founded on the narrow-gauge railway tracks laid down in the 1930s to serve for peat extraction in the Pereslavl Region. The exhibits, among which you will find steam locomotives, machines, section cars of the last 19th to early 20th centuries, were collected from all over Russia.
