| Amtrak's Southwest Chief pierces the silent landscape in the rural country between La Junta, CO and Trinidad, CO as it works its way west toward famed Raton Pass on a brilliant fall day. Not much remains at the wide spot on the road the map names Thatcher except a dilapidated house and a brilliant wood trestle. |
