| Michigan Northern started with a couple RS-3's and aquired an eclectic group of power over the years including more RS-3's, RS-2's, Baldwin RS-12's and even the pair of RF-16 Sharks. All those older units had more and more reliability issues and finally it was decided the good used Geeps would probably be more productive. PNC 539 and 4204 wait for the D&M to work the car-ferry Chief Wawatum before heading a southbound freight in March of 1980. |
