| The 4 axle Alco's the CNW transferred from Huron to Escanaba in 1980-1981 added a bit more Alco variety to Upper Michigan. I always liked the C425's and thought they were good looking units. I'm sure they were a big improvement over the Baldwin/EMD hybrids they replaced. 4257 rests just off the turntable at Escanaba awaiting a yard job or maybe road work to Ishpeming or Green Bay. |
