A Chicago and North Western coal train heads west at Pewaukee, Wisconsin, in a January 22, 1995 snowstorm. This train is on the Soo Line (former Milwaukee Road) main line and because of the slick conditions, the train stalled going up Brookfield Hill. It doubled (dividing the train in two and operating the each section to the top of the grade independently) and at this point, is putting the train back together at the end of double track at Pewaukee. Quite an operation in the snow for the crew, and surely makes a mess of the railroad.
