On a quiet and calm evening in Southeastern Tennessee, westbound manifest train No. 165 rumbles across the ex-Southern viaduct at Leadvale, just after sunset, led by an ex-Conrail SD60I. The train has traversed the highly scenic S Line from Asheville, Nc., and is en-route to Sevier Yard in Knoxville.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
