Remarks & Notes

An in-cab perspective of 1948 built Western Maryland EMD BL2 No. 82 on the grounds of the West Virginia Central Railroad in Belington. Notice the unique windshield glass that enhances visibility in addition to the distinctive first generation diesel control stand. Today, WVC No. 82 still operates in revenue service, delivering hopper and gondola cars to Elkins based industries along the former Western Maryland.
