Remarks & Notes
Cotton Belt B36-7 7771 is seen on the whisker tracks around the turntable in Los Angeles' large Taylor Yard on September 21st, 1981. This GE diesel was involved in a wreck in Moscow, Texas, on April 16th, 1981, resulting in the loss of the engine's cab. Hauled back to Taylor, the 7771 was rebuilt as the SP's only cabless locomotive since the days of F-units and DD35s! It was placed in service as a B36-7B on May 1st, 1982.
