In these days of Personal Protective Equipment (safety shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, hardhats and high-visibility reflective safety vests), it is kind of jarring to look at this image from October 17th, 1974 and see a shirtless switchman! One of the locals that was based out of Fullerton in those days assembles its train, with CF7 2549 (rebuilt just a year earlier from Santa Fe F7A 208C in October 1973) is the power for today's train.
