A loaded grain train out of Lamberton, MN, crawls out of Mankato heading east towards Waseca. There is a good pull to get out of river valley at Mankato, and these 4 40's pull hard to lift the 100 loads out. This train will head to Waseca, then on to Austin and to Plymouth Jct, hand off to the Iowa Northern who moves it a short 7 miles to Manly, IA, where it is delivered to the Union Pacific for the rest of the trip to Mexico. Not a direct route for sure.
