Built in October of 1948, Western Maryland BL2 No. 82 idles in the Appalachian & Ohio and West Virginia Central interchange siding at Tygart Junction, west of Belington in the mountains of eastern West Virginia. 65 years old and running strong on her inaugural run after an extensive rebuild, WVC 82 will soon return east to Belington with six loaded salt cars for industries east of Belington.
This is dedicated (with permission) to the skilled and gifted photographer - Chase Gunnoe - who regularly posts and is on staff with RP. I believe he deserves a gallery showcasing his remarkable photos. This is for you Chase! (More great photos to come!)
An assortment of photos of the distinctly unique (and 'cute') little locomotive EMD ever built, the BL2! I understand it also makes a tasty sandwich..Oh, that's a BLT! (When a new BL2 photo is "ordered", it will be served fresh!)
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
