Remarks & Notes
On a spectacular January morning in '89, Rio Grande's 662 local cuts off from a train of dolomite empties on the Tintic Branch at Santaquin siding. The trio of GP30s will run around the cars and shove them into Geneva Steel's Keigley yard for loading. Dormant fruit orchards line both sides of the track while 10,687 ft Mt. Loafer looms in the distance.
