| The use of the aged Ae 6/6 locomotives currently lives up once again, daily (Mo to Fr) about 7 locomotives are on the tracks with freight trains of the Swiss wagonload traffic. This now 54 years old locomotive # 11440 derailed in Schwerzenbach in december 2012, stood there for several months and no one could imagine that the locomotive would ever run again. On this day she pulled the over 700 meter long freight 60568 with 154 axles and over 1300 ton from Limmattal shunting yard across Switzerland to Lausanne Triage (shunting yard). |
