Ja 1275 tackles the grade and sharp curves leading to the Waitakere Tunnel on the home run of the Mainline Steam "Kaipara Cannonball" excursion from Helensville. This section is shared by Auckland Transport trains on Western Line to Waitakere but from 2014 trains will terminate the end of electrification at Swanson.
