Clinchfield southbound 92 sits at the south end of the Erwin yard awaiting clearance to enter the single track that covers a significant portion of the Clinchfield in the Nolichucky River Gorge. Train 92 was a daily southbound time freight that was a 2nd class train, the highest on the railroad that was freight merchandise, this phot was taken at 11:30 am, which means that this train is departing Erwin 3 hours late. 35mm slide from my collection, photographer unknown.
