Last of its kind.. A locomotive that once dominated the MARC commuter fleet, similar to today's Amtrak's AEM-7's, MARC GP40WH-2 No. 69 sits in standby service at the Amtrak Ivy City locomotive complex. This locomotive would soon be retired from MARC service approximately two months later and delivered to CSX's Huntington Locomotive Shops for transformation and repaint into their primary Geometry train motive power. This is dedicated (with permission) to the skilled and gifted photographer - Chase Gunnoe - who regularly posts and is on staff with RP. I believe he deserves a gallery showcasing his remarkable photos. This is for you Chase! (More great photos to come!)
