Remarks & Notes
Container train of Crossrail company with two Re 436 (former Re 4/4 III of Regionalverkehr Mittelland/EBT/VHB/SMB) is crossing the Bietschtal viaduct with a main span of 95 meter on the southern ramp to the Lötschberg tunnel. On the far left a small tunnel entrance is visible. There, the "Lötschberg Südrampe" hiking trail goes through today, and previously there was a 28 km long railway with 750 mm gauge, opened in 1908, for the construction of the Lötschberg line.
