The early morning hours of September 7th I found myself in the historic college hamlet of Shepherdstown. The Norfolk Southern *former Norfolk & Western Railway* H Line from Hagerstown, MD to Roanoke, VA passes through town with a 6,057 ft controlled siding guarded by CPL signals. Here is NS train 212 as it passes through the interlocking headed North.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
