| The loco lash up in this scene represents decades of motive power in New Zealand. The DL class is the first Chinese built diesel exported to a western railroad. DFT 7158 started life in 1979 and DC 4058 as a DA EMD G12 c. 1955. The line at a 2% grade here was built with brick tunnels in the 1880's. |
