Remarks & Notes
Four of the forty five class 11E Co-Co 25kV AC locomotives, built between 1985 and 1987 by General Motors South Africa, are approaching the east end of New Ermelo station with 200 empty coal wagons from the port of Richards Bay. These locomotives have a single cab and were specifically designed to operate over the Ermelo - Richards Bay coal line. All members of the class still wear the Spoornet blue livery. In the background is Escom's coal-fired Camden power station.
