Remarks & Notes
The Republic Locomotive Works yard switcher waits for the next Norfolk Southern train to bring another load of coal to Belews Creek Steam Station. The station burns two 105 train loads per day and produces 2400 MW. The taller stacks are a little over 600 feet in height. The WFGD "Scrubber" stacks are 450 feet in height. The plume seen is largely made up of water vapor.
