Resting next to the Ann Arbor back shops are a long line of the railroads GP35's. The back shops burned to the ground a few years after this photo, taking AA 386 with it. 393 is still in service under current owner Great Lakes Central and 388 was scrapped in 2003 after it rolled over after a grade crossing accident, the only known surviving part of 388 is its nose, which still sits on the back of the Great Lakes Central property. 35mm slide from my collection, photo by Don Elliot.
