To the north of milepost 1 on the Clinchfield was the C&O yard in Shelby, KY. Sometimes, Clinchfield freights would run right to the yard and turnover a train, and C&O would do the same. However, local turns would still bring freight into the yards from each railroad, in this case, C&O 4078 and another geep bring in a string of cars for the Clinchfield.
