Retro, Sort Of. Wearing a throwback to the colors the F40 fleet wore for most of its service life, AMTK 406 brings up the markers of #699, splitting the Ward Hill signals in Haverhill. The illusion is broken in large part by the fact that the F40s had been mostly sidelined by time the Downester corridor became a reality in 2001...not to mention the fact that this one no longer has traction motors. Still she did look nice.
