Remarks & Notes
The former site of Bridge 21.3, which burned in September 2011 due to a lightning storm. All that remains is a solitary rail drooping across the canyon, as well as ashes, iron and tin in the valley below. The Camas Prairie Railroad Second Subdivision, which ran between Spalding and Grangeville, Idaho, is now only used to Culdesac to store empty lumber cars for BNSF and UP, so a few weeks ago I rented a camera and biked 50 miles to take a walk down the Lapwai Canyon loop with its myriad trestles and tunnels. This bridge is not visible from US-95, unlike the large Halfmoon trestle (Bridge 22) and others. Shot with a Canon T3i, 18-55 mm lens.
