During this era it was not uncommon for the crew to uncouple the power from their train, so as not to block the road crossings, and run engine light uptown, tie down on the main, and "go to beans" as seen here on the former NKP. These two units are idling on the mainline just clear of Main street while the crew is at the local eatery.
