Heavy rains pounded New England the entire first week of July, rending the New England Central Railroad's Roxbury Subdivision out of service from late on July 3 through late on July 5 due to flood damage. On Saturday, July 6, a pair of backed up northbound trains were operated, including this one, 323-03, with NECR GP40-2CU (GP40-2LW) 3015, NECR GP38 3857 and CSOR SD40-2 3771, seen passing Mud Pond in Roxbury, Vermont.
