Remarks & Notes
From high above Coal Creek Canyon, a Burlington Northern Santa Fe coal train that loaded on the Utah Railway, descends out of Tunnel 1 east of Plainview, Colorado, on July 5, 2003. The train is crossing Colo. Hwy. 72, which bisects the scene, and will soon be going through Clay and Big 10 Curve on its way down to Denver. This view is from a hike up low mountaintop just above the entrance to Coal Creek canyon.
