The 'Yellowjackets' were drawn to the Bear... Well, due to washouts and a derailment on the New York, Susquehanna & Western's Syracuse line in New York, arrangements were made to detour an SU-100 train of NYSW's over the CSXT Syracuse Terminal, Mohawk Subdivision, and the River Subdivision to get back to NYSW rails at CP-5 in New Jersey. The detour departed late Wednesday night from Syracuse as CSXT Z224-03 and used NYSW SD60s 3800, 3810, 3808 and 3802 to haul 58 loads and 32 empties. Having to wait for two northbound intermodals on CSXT north of Bear Mountain allowed the fog to fully lift and the sun to be making appearance with large sucker holes.
