| On a steamy July 4th morning, a southbound NYS&W detour train(SU-100 out of Syracuse) rockets southward past the serene waters of the Hudson River at 06:05am. Having made a brisk chase from Catskill before dawn, I made a mad dash from my car across the pedestrian walkway thanking the good lord that it was open by dawn. The freight was moving southward at track speed leaving me only a few seconds to point and shoot. In hindsight it was probably a small miracle I was able to capture this view at all given the odds stacked against me by cutting it so close. One for the happy memory file! |
