Built by Great Western Railway after the railroad was incorporated on October 16, 1901, by the Great Western Sugar Company, the depot still stands in pretty good shape at the west end of their small yard in Loveland, Colorado. This is one of several old relics from the old Great Western days before being turned over to OmniTrax of Denver sometime during the 90s.
Oh the stories these special buildings could tell. Originally the brains of the rails they monitored, working to insure effecient rail service for our nation! A tribute!
