Remarks & Notes
One of the oldest locomotives preserved in America, the 1848-built "Memnon" is currently one of the key artifacts in the B&O's Civil War exhibit, "The War Came By Train." The locomotive, which was severely damaged by the roundhouse collapse in 2004, was restored in 2008. It is known to have hauled troops and supplies during the U.S. Civil War.
