The sight and sound of 'Duchess of Sutherland' at full power is truly something to behold. It is hard to believe that this wonderful locomotive will be celebrating its 65th birthday next month. We are truly blessed that such sights are still possible on the national rail network some 45 years after the demise of steam traction in 1968.
