Foggy East Broad Top. A member of the EBT Shop Crew opens the underground valve that feeds the water plug, as Locomotive 15's Fireman prepares to top off his engine's water supply. The crew are getting the 15 ready for an early morning departure to Mt. Union with a short freight. Unfortunately, this would be one of the last departures on the EBT. When the season ended in late 2011, the railroad shut down and has not operated since. Although a preservation group is in the process of trying to acquire the railroad piece by piece from the current owner, there are no near-term plans that would bring steam back to the rails in Orbisonia.
A look at the one-time coal-hauler, which ran as a tourist railroad for decades and finally ceased operations in 2011. The album includes photos from an October 2010 charter as well as images from the very last Fall Spectacular in October of 2011.
