In the summer of 2005, power-short Indiana Southern Railroad turned to any source of loaner engine they could locate... and eventually worked out a deal to lease the three operating Algers, Winslow & Western SD9s for use in coal service. On a hot summer afternoon, the 205, 203 and 206 were in charge of an empty Yankeetown Dock train climbing the grade north of Boonville, bound for another load of dinosaur turds at Somerville Central Mine.
