Remarks & Notes
The White Sulphur Springs & Yellowstone Park RR ran 22 miles from White Sulphur Springs, Mont. down to a connection with the Milwaukee Road at Ringling. As the MILW was being abandoned or sold off, Montana Central still operated excursions part of the way to Ringling on the road with the long name. The train was loading passengers at White Sulphur Springs on Aug. 18, 1979 as 2-6-2 No. 18 was building up steam. Remains of a paper "grain door" at right.
