You may not believe it, but you are looking at a genuine World War II war machine. Three foot narrow gauge Combine No. 36 (built circa 1900 by the railroad, weighing 11.5 tons, and 42' 10" long) carried unknown thousands of sailors, workers and packages during the Duration. Thus in it's own way it helped win the War. While the Oahu Railway & Land Company was a success during most of it's life and the WW II business brought in a great deal of money, the cession of war activities found the railroad worn out and facing a enemy it could not beat. Those new highways that were also built for the war killed the railroads business by over 50%. By 1953 the railroad had been abandoned piecemeal and No. 26 was donated to Travel Town.
