Remarks & Notes
On a late night Amtrak Pacific Surfliner, conductor Chris stands in-between two Horizon Amfleet cars and relays information to the engineer regarding the next stop, Old Town. As he stands in the hallway of the two Horizon Amfleet cars, it looks like a blast from the past. It takes you back to the 80's - 90's when Amlfeets were the only cars running on the former San Diegan route (now the Surfline). Now Amtrak runs bi-level cars the have automatic opening doors and a newer layout. Amtrak Pacific Surfliner runs 1-2 sets (2 in summer only) of Amfleet cars.

Nocturnal Nuances & Lights In The Night! (Between Sunset - Sunrise / Sundown - Sunup!)

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)

A tribute to the engineers who drive the engines of America's railways. Comments welcome from those who sat behind the trottle.
