A city-bound Comeng set passes a Williamstown-bound Siemens set at North Melbourne station. In February 2003 this Comeng car was the lead vehicle in one of the worst run-aways in Victoria's history, rolling about 15km from Broadmeadows to Spencer Street (passing through this very station), where it collided with diesel locomotive N463 causing very extensive damage. Amazingly it was repaired, and returned to service. A couple of metres back from the end of the car you can just make out a line across the roof where the repair was made.
