A former Burlington Northern F9A is dressed up to represent Spokane, Portland and Seattle No. 802 is on display at the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center at Stevenson, Washington, on May 30, 2008. This locomotive was built for the Northern Pacific in 1956, first as 7013D, and later 6704A. After the Burlington Northern merger in 1970, briefly pulled passenger trains as the 9816 before becoming just another BN F unit numbered 782. Later in life, it was painted mineral red and used as rotary snowplow power as BN No. 972569, before eventually being donated to the museum in Stevenson. Interestingly, you can still see the screw holes and rusted metal where the NP Monad logo was located on the nose door.
