Remarks & Notes
Port Colborne was the southern terminus for this CN-owned branch on the Niagara Escarpment, running north-south in a territory rife with east-west lines. This was the CN Welland Sub, running from the north end at Thorold to Port Colborne on Lake Erie; about 15 miles west of Niagara Falls and parallel to the Welland Canal. This car is about to head north past the wig-wag and onto the main to head north. The depot is out of view to the left.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
