The 195 miles Altoona Sub is protected by an ABS signal system. When nothing is around all the signals show clear across the system. Here at the west end of the Valley siding the eastbound signal is green since nothing is out of Necedah. Soon the signal will flip to approach as a Westbound train makes its way out of Adams.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
